hey... dunno what to do!

'the application Safari has unexpectedly quit" appears everytime I click the icon to launch the application...

i deleted it and re-installed and it's still not working (it worked for a couple days after I initially installed it...then all of a sudden it stopped working)

anyone know what to do? Thanks in advance

Double click your hard disk in the Finder. In the Search field type in Safari.
Delete all preferences files and caches that finds. I don't think you'll have to reinstall the application itself.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Go into your library find the safari prefs in the prefs folder and delete them.. It could be corrupted prefs file..

Inside the prefs folder

com.apple.Safari.plist

If that does not work delete the safari folder in library folder as well. (remember to delete the prefs file again as it will be create everytime you open the app.)

Hope this helps.

Edwin

p.s. The library folder I am talking about is in your Home directory.

hey everyone. thanks for your help it works now. Although, i think it would be quite annoying to have to delete that everytime i want to use it! I wonder why it's there and/or why it prevents me from opening the application?

you should only have to do it once.

after that it should work like normal again.
