"move" instead of "copy" in the Finder?

a simple question:
is there a method to MOVE (not just copy) a file from one partition to another? ALT doesn't do the job... maybe something does?
(forget the terminal, I need the Finder to do it..)

okay okay - it MIGHT be CMD-SHIFT... I thought I tried that one... thx to sbk :-)
maybe someone learned it from here, then it had its efforts...
