When I first tried Hotmail, I was able to log in, and everything seemed to work well. Now when I try, I'm told that my browser "doesn't support Javascript" and that I can't log in. Does anyone know why this is? Does Hotmail do some sort of check for Javascript somehow, or does it just look at how the browser identifies itself?

I used "Safari Enhancer" to change the UA string to be that on Mac IE 5. After doing that I can log in to Hotmail and it works.

Is this a "problem" with release .51 (as opposed to .48 or whatever the first was), or is did Microsoft decide not to let Safari in?

but when I go directly from MSN Messenger to mail, then it works. Strange?
