HP LJ 1200 stopped working after 10.2.3 update

My Laserjet 1200 worked fine until I updated to OS X 10.2.3. Now it's just sitting there blinking and not printing. I searched the forums, tried to reinstall the HP drivers from the Jag#2 disk, and also tried gimp print - nothing works. Anybody else having this problem?
