Hi-
This is interesting, I've changed my password a few times, and now I can login with ANY of the passwords that I've ever used... not just the new one. My keychain, however, only accepts the most recent password.
Obviously, this is a serious security problem for me, and I need it fixed as soon as possible... anyone have any suggestions?
Matt

Another interesting development: I made a new admin account to move over to, and gave it a different password, but all the passwords from my previous admin account work on the new account. Additionally, I am having trouble installing new drivers for my printer. If I type the wrong password, it tells me that I typed the wrong password, but then when I type the correct password or any of my previous correct passwords, it tells me that I don't have admin access priveleges, which, of course, I do.

OS X, like most UNIX variants and relatives, has a limit of 8 characters on checking passwords... you can make the password as long as you want, but only the first eight characters matter as to whether the password you type is "right" or not.

Great, thank you for that explanation. I guess that means that my issue installing the printer software (when it tells me that I am not the admin) is an entirely different problem. Anyone know about this... it's an HP Deskjet 5550. I can't find anything on it at HP support.
