I finally got dyndns working for my machine. I put an index.htm page in the Sites folder of my Home directory, but it keeps saying I don't have permission to access it. This is what I'm doing:

http://username.dyndns.org/homedir/Sites
OR
http://username.dyndns.org/homedir/Sites/index.htm

If I just go to username.dyndns.org it takes me to the default Apache page so I know everything is working, port-wise.

Search for UserDir in /etc/httpd/httpd.conf: I believe it has an example of a Sites folder URL. (It also lets you change whether user folders are "Sites" or "public_html" or something else.) Should be something like this:

It could also be the name of your index-file.

I think httpd.conf default is index.html and since httpd.conf is set to not allow browsing of directories, this could be why you get the error-message.

Either change the name of your index-file, or change the default name for the index-file in httpd.conf.
