Is it possible to connect an old Sony reel To Reel tape player to my Mac.

(I know its odd but I just inherited one)

you should be able to... what kind of connections does the R to R have, and what Mac do you have...

You may need to buy some hardware...

why not? if it has line outs, and your mac has line in, and you have the right cable, you're good to go.
