Well this just sucks ass.

I'm decompressing a zip file with stuffit expander. I have Mail and Safari open. I run out of disk space, and get the disk error occured from expander..
no sweat.

mail's happy.
I restart.

Mail opens up.
Asks me if I'd like to import any mail boxes.
no mail anywhere.
I have chest pains.
Close Open Mail again.
my primary mail box comes up.
not the sub boxes.
WTF??

Restart again. Go dust off bible holding table level.

My saved mail folders in the folder On My Mac is there. My primary email comes up. my *.mac account that I deleted off the mail app is there under accounts?? Woah. That thing was gone on day one, and now it's back? All of my other saved mail that was in my inboxes under the inbox are GONE. V-A-P-O-R. It kept my primary email account, and the settings for it. Changed the whole Mail GUI around, and added a .mac account.. that's the freakiest thing I've ever seen.

So WTF? I have no idea what to do, or where to look, but I'm hunting everywhere.. any advice is appreciated (other then using bible more often)..

Thanks
tim

Under my library:mail in my username I found my old mail. How do I get mail to reset itself from whatever pissed it off and reread in my mail?
I really, REALLY don't want to have to import my mail boxes.

I also had virtual PC 5.0 running.
VPC gave me disk errors also, but seemed to close nicely.

While re-examinging my setup, I quit VPC with the Save all and Quit.

I went to terminal to kill a session I was running and typed exit.
The whole mac froze. That, was a first.

I blame vpc, I've had problems with it before. grr.. windows even screws with me through the emulators..

Still need a mail fix?
