OK, as mentioned in an earlier post, tomorrow 10.2 should arrive in the mail. At the moment I'm using MSN messenger, but being a loyal Apple cult member want to use iChat. Can I use the same login name etc with iChat, and can I still talk to my MSN buddies?

In a word: "No." MSN is MSN. Use Fire or MSN Messenger to talk to MSN people. iChat is AIM.

Or use Proteus. You either love one of them and hate the other. In my opinion Proteus is much better but this is an old discussion.

I would love to see apple take another take on the whole multiclient IM situation and add MSN to it's list of features... not because MSN is good... infact it sucks it constantly boots people has terribly few features so on and so forth.
Unfortunately up here in Canada it has just about killed off ICQ and everyone is very bitter towards AMERICA online.
and Yahoo's a joke. MSN and AIM compatablity would be great for iChat.
Then again I would kinda like to keep iChat pure and untainted by M$N...
It's a toss up... ultimately once I get my powerbook 12 inch when I have the cash and run in OS X... I'll probably run Proteus or Fire for MSN access... and iChat for AIM.
