So, I leave for work in the morning, and as usual I leave my machine on (specs in sig). The only thing the computer is doing is running SETI@home (not as screensaver).

Occaisionally when I return home in the evening, my computer is shutdown, powered off! My first thought is a power failure to the house, but all of my clocks in the house have the right time. Not to mention my machine is connected to a power backup APS. I don't have the computer set to auto-shutdown in any way, or any third party software set to do this.

Does anyone have this problem, or heard of it before?

I have one of these too. I have all kinds of problems with sleep, crash, panic, etc. I just can't seem to fix it.

I really don't have any other major problems. Other than some minor OS bugs that others have listed, it actually runs really smooth.

Randomally shutting down is odd, though. Anyone else?
