My iBook has been running for 5 days straight, since updating QuickTime. I have it set to not sleep, so all the scripts should be running at the right times.

However, in 5 days, almost a Gig of space has "disappeared". I had 10.2 remaing 5 days ago, and now I have 9.2. In that time I have not downloaded any songs, or installed any large programs.

Any ideas?

This topic comes up a lot, so try doing a search.

Try rebooting and see if that frees up some space. Rebooting gets rid of virtual memory and other temp files.

Interesting...

I'd say reboot, or do a custom search for files larger than say 300 megs.

edit: Oooh ooh, search for files modified in the last few days.

No it doesn't. It maps 1GB of virtual memory, but it does not take up 1GB of swap space on the drive.
