Hello,

I have just set up my Sony Spressa external USB 4x4x6 cd-burner, and iTunes will not recognize it. Under the burner tab (in OS X.1.5) it still shows the name of my old burner, an Iomega Predator. I set up a playlist, and it says there is no burner, any ideas? Also, should I be disabling authoring support or any other extensions? Thanks.

can you get the system to recognize it (i.e. in Apple System Profiler, or just the Finder burning)? Are you sure it's supported in OS X 10.1.5?

Oops! Not compatible with OS X, but the burner works just fine in OS 9 with disc burner. I tossed the Discribe app into the trash, it wouldn't recognize the burner it came packaged with, nice eh? As usual, thank you all.

i had the same problem, but it was because of an update earaced all my extensions for the burner, or whatever they are called, so ill i did was download the update to discburner i think and used pacifist to extract the files i needed and it worked fine ever since, think that happend with either an itunes update or one of the 10.2.x updates

Don't know yet, it DOES work with disc burner in OS 9.2.2 though. I'll try iTunes next.
