Hello,
Okay I'm running into a little trouble here with Mac OS X (version 10.2.3) on my iBook. I created a guest user account with internet access abilities only and now I don't need that user account. When I try to delete in system prefs it wont delete it, instead it remains there. Tried enabling a root user and getting rid of that way, no success. Tried deleting user's files from accounts folder, no luck there either. This is a very minor (very very minor, I could barely care about it) annoyance and just curious if there are other options I could exert to get rid of said account.
Anyway some background on what's been going on that lead up to this:
I am currently attending college at Eastern Kentucky University and I'm living in the dorm rooms (anybody else here at EKU or close? I'd like to meet some Mac fans) with a roommate I have never met. I created a guest account with only safari, mozilla, chimera, and ie enabled in case he ever asked to want to use the internet. Anyway I put my iBook to rest and shut it down and leave it in the room to charge my battery. I get back and... the sleep light is on... clearly my roommate was on without asking me, he didn't make it past the log in screen I dont think. Was a little ticked that he used it without asking so I deleted that guest account. Slowly I started calming down and he asked if he could use it and since he asked I let him. So I created another account so he could use it. Now I have moved out to another room with a roommate that I actually know (that hates mac so he aint gonna touch mine) so I have no need to have a guest account. Now I can't get rid of the guest account that I created. Also I should probably mention this:
I checked my crash logs and noticed that there was a crash during the time that he used it (the first time, the time without asking me) (at the login window on 1/13).. this may have something to do with it? Here's the details of said crash:
Command: loginwindow
PID: 328
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x0000018e
Can anybody elaborate on that?
I guess I rambled on too much hehe...
Thanks in advance for help
