Hi, I was just wondering if it's possible to use Truetype fonts in Apple's X11. I know it's possible to use truetype fonts in X11 on a pc, so I assume there's a way to do it here.
Any help would be muchly appreciated.

It has to be compiled in:

http://www.dcs.ed.ac.uk/home/jec/programs/xfsft/

I don't know if XFree86 includes this or not. If it doesn't, you could always compile your own.

You should have that in your system. However many applications ignore it. For instance with OpenOffice you have to use Fondu (which it comes with)
