Safari won't work anymore???

Bare with me I'm fairly new to macs.

When i try to run safari I get a pop up window that that says "The application Safari has unexpectedly quit"

I have removed the program nad downloaded it again with no luck. I have shut down, rebooted etc...

any ideas??? what happened? I worked great until last night.

Well, you might report that to Apple with their Feedback page.

Try to remove ~/Library/Safari
and ~/Library/preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist

But backup those files first if you have some important bookmarks in Safari !
However, you should not use critical bookmarks with Safari, since it is a Beta release...

That wouldn't be a problem (Safari just would create the defaults).

They should be there though since you used it already. Are you looking in your home folder (that's what is meant by ~)?

If you can't find the file/folders use the Finder's search field to search for Safari. You might also want to try trashing ~/Library/Caches/Safari.

you don't see them? you know ~ is the common term for your users home directory
