Sorry for the completely inane question, but Apple's support site (of course) tells me this:

All .Mac services are online and operational.

...and yet, I somehow cannot get email or webmail. Why can't Apple just tell us on the support page that they are doing maintenance, or there is an outage or _something_ ... I'm not even asking for an ETA, just an acknowledgment that services are currently impaired.
