The "Dictionary" channel in Sherlock 3 does not seem to work. I can look up words and words show up in the panes on the left, but nothing shows up where the definition or synonym lists should be. The other channels seem to work just fine.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

I had already cleaned out cache and deleted the plist, and was waiting to log in and out and restart my machine before posting such a topic...

What's up? Have Bartelby.com / Dictionary.com cut Sherlock off?

This is strange.

Could people post the version of their OS along with whether it's working or not?

Here: 10.2.3, iBook 500, not working.

10.2.3 TiBook, working like a charm (although why use this when there's OmniDictionary?)

10.2.3 on an iBook 700MHz combo. Works perfectly. I can even get the definition of phthisis.

Mine works on 10.2.3 but not on all words. Sometimes I get suggested definitions (if I spelt something wrong) and I click them and nothing happens. Most infuriating. Common words always work, but uncommon not always. Stupid that the app suggests words that it doesn't show the definition of. I don't get it, it must be a bug of some sorts.
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Maybe since this article from Think Secret says a lot the focus for 10.2.4 went into Sherlock, the dictionary breakage we experience maybe means our system update is closer than thought

I have the same issue as someone else...

Orig. G3 w/ 10.2.3 WORKS

New Dual 867 w/ 10.2.3 NOT WORKING

Very strange...

I only used it once a week, but it came in handy when I needed it...
