When I upgraded from 9.2 to OSX, I seem to have lost all of my playlists in the 9.2 version. Is there any way to get them back and/or transfer them to the new OSX iTunes?

Also, beacuse of this I'm hesitant to plug in my iPod with the new OSX version of iTunes as I'm assuming it will erase all the playlists. True?

Thanks in advance.

This is a complete *guess* but...

Go into iTunes under 9 and define your music folder as being the same one under X... *IF* they are compatible this should create an exact mirror... If not (or if some of the items are stored outside the music folder) then I dunno what to tell you...

Just copy the "iTunes Library (2)" file from your 9.2 drive into the iTunes folder in your Music folder. (that may not be exact, I'm at work away from my Mac at the moment)

Oh, and within iTunes you can set it so that updating the iPod is totally manual. That's what I use.

I did that and nothing happened.
I can't import it either. It's grayed out.

if you still have the OS 9.2 version of iTunes, you can try the "iTunes Library Manager" applescript.

It's supposedly only for iTunes 3, but you can write the author and see if he/she can help you out.
