I am trying to download KDE and it barfs on Qt-X11. It complains about the -P flag in curl. How do I get around this? I have tried getting on the Fink mailinglist but their mail is screwed up and not accepting confirmation. Even e-mail to the webmaster bounces.

I guess I could download it from the source forge, compile it myself, then get it to work with OroborOSX. Any guidance would be apprectiated.

I don't about the -P flag but if you do download the tarball for a package that Fink installs, move it to /sw/src and instruct Fink to install it, Fink will forego the attempt to download it and use the tarball that you downloaded.

i will post back and let you know how it went.

I will need to know how to launch and run KDE. I have Gnome up and running, but it is time to see how KDE runs.
