Since Keynote crashed (I have a Pismo 500 with one of these ATI card that Keynote does not like), my console (when I start in single-user mode) is greyscale...

It woudn't be too bad if both the text and the background were not white (and thus invisible). The only thing I can see is the word "COLOR"...

I tried a few things (fsck, zapping the PRAM, running Norton, trashing a few prefs) but I never was able to restore my console to "normal" color.

Any suggestions anyone?

Well... I solved my problem and it had nothing to do with Keynote...

I remembered that I was using a modified BootX file (yeah, I like themes). I usually try to avoid replacing the BootX file but it got replaced by the theme I installed and the color palette was all messed up.

I restored the original BootX and now everything is fine.

I guess I did not had to force reboot since I installed the theme and Keynote (this is why I wrongfully attributed the problem to Keynote crash).

All is well now!
