I am looking for a command line app that would allow me to record audio stream off of the internet.
Any suggestions?

tcpflow will let you record arbitrary data streams. You may have to modify the streams to use them, but it's worth a shot.

Check out streamripper (a Unix tool). Compiles without issues if the Developer Tools are installed. Does what you think it does.

I tried streamripper but it does not seem compatible with the stream I am trying to record.
The stream I am interested in is a rstp://...../24.smil.

Yeah, I am not interested in MP3 recording either. I needed Real Audio and Quicktime capture (I would like to get video as well). Audio Hijack will do it from the GUI which for me is good enough.
