Yes.
You have to get a Firewire cable that fits the Mac, and that's it.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

I know this is not really a Mac question, but does anybody by any chance know how to encode an MP3 with that Windows Musicmatch Jukebox software (that works with the iPod) over 128kbps?
Despite what this software states, 128kbps is *not* CD quality

My sister is using iPod on a Win XP machine. It works really well, and she loves it. Eventually I would hook it up to my PowerBook and mess around with it a bit...hehe. It works just fine.

It comes with a 6 pin to 6 pin FireWire cable. So no, you don't need anything special like that. It has a 6 pin to 4 pin adapter to fit Windows computers without 6 pin. The AC adapter requires a 6 pin adapter and it would be impossible to charge your iPod without a 6 pin to 6 pin cable.
The ONLY thing special you need to do is download the iPod Updater software for Mac OS X from Apple's website and Update your iPod. It will format the drive to HFS+ and make it like a new Mac iPod.
My Windows iPod works great on my Mac. I absolutely love it.
