At present, I have Mac OS X installed on my iBook, upgraded from 10.2 to 10.2.1 to 10.2.2.

In the process of working on my iBook Swan site, I have installed a fresh copy of 10.2 on my FireWire hard drive, updated straight to 10.2.3 using the combined update.

All has gone well, Virtual PC being noticeably faster, except for one thing; Every time I log out, a Kernel Panic occurs.

I've read the appropriate writings, which I found by chance after seeing GlobalPreferencesLocker listed on VersionTracker.

My questions; does anyone know when 10.2.4 is meant to be released? Does anyone know whether it will fix this issue? Are many people who use iBooks / PowerBooks having this problem?

Though GlobalPreferencesLocker is working for now, having to re-apply trackpad settings every time I log in is getting to be very annoying.

Help?

Well according to Thinksecret we'll probably see an update around February 3rd. Now Thinksecret isn't always right, but they're pretty close so expect the update around then. As for the kernel panics at logout, I've had it happen to me a few times. I recently did another clean install and it went away though. Hopefully 10.2.4 will fix you're problem..
