I need to quickly backup the contents of my osx 1.2.3 powered powerbook g4, have someone muck about with the os and the apps on it, and then restore the contents of the disk quickly as they were before the tampering.

Is there a non-commercial solution? A special way to image the entire disk using something like DiskCopy, copy the image to a firewire hard disk, and then just copy it back later as one would be able to do in os9.

its OS X 10.2.3. Disk copy should be able to make an image of it.

Carbon Copy Clone from bombich.com if you have another drive or partition to copy too.
