I am thinking about creating a Software RAID 1 in my machine and want to boot off of it. That said, one of the drives already has a full system on it and it is really well configured. When I have to initialize it again (I think I will) I will have to move the volume to my PowerBook and then move it back.

Can you move an OS X 10.2.3 system from one drive to another and make it work?

Thoughts?

Use Carbon Copy Cloner or Apple Software Restore.

With Apple Software Restore, that would just reinstall the system to defaults, right?
