Safari suddenly quit with a message "The application Safari has unexpectedly quit", I used the latest version, it returned the same message even I reboot my OSX or do a reinstallation of the Safari.

Any idea? Thanks.

  • quit Safari
  • double click your hard disk in the Finder
  • in the Finder Search field enter "Safari" (without the quotes)
  • move all folders and preferences files it finds to a safe place
  • restart Safari
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Thanks, it works, but I still don't have idea why it suddenly crashed.

I had the same problem. I was able to fix it by deleting Safari's plist in the ~/Library/Preferences/ folder. (I think it's called com.apple.safari.plist.)
