this is what I want to do, I want to put a alias to a folder on my server on my laptops dock. so when I click it it acts like a local volume. IS this possible, Can you explain the server setup as well.
I dont mind having to type a password everytime I just dont want to have to go to connect to server everytime I get back from work or where ever.

I new to the server world so be kind
Thanks for the time

With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)

What happens when you do just that? i.e. making an alias to the folder you want and then clicking on it? In my experience its poped up the drive or asked me to login...

Try it, its hard to answer this question having no information about your servers setup etc.

Cheers Ry
