Hi,

The Help Viewer application no longer works. If I try to launch it, either directly or indirectly by choosing an apps Help Menu, it starts to bounce in the dock and then it disappears. I tried trashing the prefs. Anyone else have any ideas?

I am running 10.2.3

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you by any chance installed Virex? Sometimes it installs a folder called "Virex.help" that screws things up.

Nope, but thanks for the help.

they really need an overhaul on the help system.


a) It points to links to solve your problems but reverts to the front page

b) it takes a while to load and sometimes
stalls.

c) It quits for no reason depending on the application you are using

d) i bet this is the same help viewer from 10.1

e) the answers should be clear and concise and show up like e-mails do in mail.app

f) If they can integrate it into the finder like bookmarks are with safari than it would be simple and easy.
