I have a G4 450 tower running 10.2.3, 768M ram. I have OS 9.2.2 on a second partition on my hard drive.

When I launch classic the classic icon bounces a few times in the dock and then freezes. The entire OS is frozen. The mouse moves, but only in a jerking fashion and I have to reboot using programmers switch. I have searched knowledge base and not found this problem addressed.

This is not a big deal for me because I do not use any classic applications anymore. I am concerned this is a symptom of a subtle problem with my system. Everything seems to work correctly in OS X. Has anyone got a solution for me? Should I wipe my drive and reinstall my system? Everything is backed up on a Firewire HD.

Thanks for your help.
