so my computer had some hiccups, mainly, drag and drop and copy paste stopped working systemwide, so i reinstalled OS X, and saved the user folder (archive and install), when i came to my username, and i logged in, everything was perfect, except for the fact that my finder wont launch. ive tried it on other users and it works perfectly, (the other users were tehre from the last install as well) so i dont know whats up, could someone help me out? thanks alot.

I suppose you've probably already tried trashing com.apple.finder.plist, but just in case, I'd better suggest it...

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Try downloading the Permissions Fixer (don't know the real name, never used it) from Apple and run that....Sounds like a permissions problem to me if all other users can use Finder and you can't.
