I just ran calculator so that I could do a currency exchange between Canadian Dollars and British Pounds and before doing the conversion I updated the conversion rates. Now the Canadian Dollar had disappeared! is this a known bug or is there an Apple conspiracy against Canadians!

Hadn't you heard, the U.S. is annexing Canada.

I had heard elsewhere (maybe another thread here at macnn) that the loss of Canadian $$ arises only in those cases when the Region choice under the International SysPref has been set to French/French Canadian. To test this theory, I recently changed my settings to French, et voilą, Canadian $$ gone. The problem is that when I tried to get it back by changing the setting to U.S., it never returned.

Seems Canadian presence in the currency conversion option of Calculator has gone the same way as iCal and Sherlock. Sad.

Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

I thought I heard it was the other way around?

Those wacky governments, they're always up to something...

Unfortunately that isn't the case here for me... I am running British settings on my iBook. But the weird thing is that I think the Canadian option was there before I refreshed the currency rates... I know I have definitely done currency conversinos on the calculator with Canadian dollars in the last month... but now, poof! they're gone

Icelandic krona still there. Naturally, being the single most important currency
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.
