Does anyone know how to remove an attatchment in a received message in Mail?

I'd like to keep the message, but don't want the inflated mailbox.

Thanks,

Bill Reising

Yes, but if you use redirect instead of forward, the message will be from the original sender instead of from yourself. That might be helpful to make sense of a message you'll be saving or responding to.

Also, if not obvious, those instructions include deleting the attachment before redirecting.

Also you should investigate in the contents (ctrl+click >Show package contents) of your mailbox.
If you are d/ling the files, your mailbox is located at ~/Library/Mail/
If you right click it and select "show package contents" you will likely find the attachment and be able to delete it.
Nevertheless, I don´t know if that can affect the normal operation of Mail.app
