This is the first time I've ever seen this msg when trying to empty the trash can. I've already tried emptying the trash through Terminal and I still get the same msg. Alright, this is what happens, the screen dims down and I white message box appears, it's displayed in 4 different languages, including english. It says, "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press restart button." I can't figure it out. Somone, anyone, please help!

Oh yeah! On the bottom of that white box, it's has these number, 00:03:93:86:81:56. Do they mean anything?

That "weird message" you're getting is a kernel panic.
Do you have Norton Utilities on your machine? Norton File Saver has been known to cause kernel panics when a user tries to empty the trash.

Make sure that File Saver is turned off. Better yet, delete it entirely. Then restart your machine.
Hope that helps.
