I know this is a weird request.. but I will be /switching soon
(Once I save enough $$) and I was wondering if you guys have
any good sites with iChat specific icon sites. I found one site
with some nice high quality head shots of characters from
a game called Phantasy Star.. but I was wondering if anyone
knew any sites that had icons that would be good to use (and
high quality) with ichat, that you know looks good with a
word bubble coming from it.

I'm a member of a site that has lil cartoon heads for the members and one of our members uses iChat and hes' got all o our cartoon heads talking to him... I'll probably end up doing the same thing.

www.pixture.com and www.iconfactory.com both have really nice icons for use with iChat.

The old OS9 icons are great to use as avatar, perfect size.

You do realize that you don't have to do anything to make an iChat icon- resizing, cropping, all that crap. Just pick the picture you want to use, drag and drop it into the icon window on the iChat buddy list (or your Profile in Adress Book) and iChat will automatically let you resize the image and move it around exactly as you want. Whala! Instant iChat icons!

<apple>+<shift>+4 then select the portion of the screen/image/whatever you want to be the iChat icon, then drag the resulting PDF file into the icon well.
