I'm hoping someone has an easy fix for me on this issue.
I have a Dual 1GHz Power Mac MDD and a PowerBook 800 (TiBook). What I have done is a "fresh" install on the Power Mac of OS X 10.2.3 and my apps.
I have used Carbon Copy Cloner via Firewire to image the system over to my PowerBook, while they're very different systems I figured 10.2.3 would be "smart" enough to detect the differences and load any additional needed drivers, etc.
Well, for the most part it worked great, as the system seems stable, and things are working well - except Airport and Energy Saver.
1. I can see my Airport card listed in the system profile, yet I can't select it under System Prefs|Network and it will tell me it can't find the card if I run the Airport Setup Assistant. Any ideas?
2. The System Prefs|Energy Saver looks just like the dialog box from my Power Mac desktop, it does not give me the option to configure an AC Adapter and Battery option like I've seen on other laptops. Help?
I have tried running the OS X 10.2.3 stand alone combo updater on the laptop thinking it might re-detect things, but it didn't. Would there be a way I could copy just the needed files or extensions from another laptop without having to do a re-install on the laptop?
Any advice or info would be great!
Thanks,
