Hello- I recenlty acquired a used ibook OSX jag, it came with a partioned hard drive..how can I un-partion it.I like having just 1 main hard drive..I went to disk utility and deleted the second drive..but after I do that the drive re-appears..help please

You can't partition a drive that is in use, so the only way to acheive this is to start over from scratch. That is, boot from your OS X install CD, use the disk utility to remove the partitions and then reformat the drive, then re-install. Note that this will wipe your drive clean, so be sure to back up anything that your can't restore from original sources (i.e. all your music, photos, work files, etc)

if you get FWB Partition Toolkit and boot from its bootable cd (or make your own bootable cd) you should be able to resize your partition to use the entire drive.....
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity...
