On my gfs B&W G3, I'm trying to connect to a printer attached to an XP pro box. I loaded Unix printing services on the XP box. When I click add printer in print center, it just hangs to the point where I have to force quit. This is a clean install of 10.2. Updated to 10.2.3. OS9 is not installed. I ran the disk utility to repair permissions. Then I tried running the print center repair shareware app but to no avail. Yet I can add a printer through CUPS, and it will show up in print center. But I have not been successful in getting it to work. I figure there is something majorly hosed. This machine has never had a printer installed. Its a basic setup and it works fine otherwise. Any ideas. It shouldn't be this difficult to print via IP especially with LPR. Also I tried using Samba but I still could not connect to the printer.
