I just got a 48x LiteOn burner, it's recognized as 'fully supported' in the ASP, and iTunes recognizes it and knows it's name... but it won't write a disk..

burning in the finder works fine, but not from iTunes..

I tried lowering the speed in iTunes all the way down to 16x, but still no luck.

It starts to initialize, and goes thru all the tracks, then as it's about to burn, it ejects the disk, saying an unknown error occured and a number.. like (-245658534)

anyone with a clue?

thanks, and any more info I can give.. I shall

Yeah, but I have the 48246S, not the one listed on xlr8yourmac. System Profiler lists it as fully capable of disc burning support. Hmmm.

ASP said that about my Samsung combo drive too but it still required a plugin, I think thats just for Disc Burner.

Unfortunately, the Lite-on plugin at xlr8yourmac is for a different model number. Should I just get a hex editor and do it myself?
