I found this by accident.

I have a M$ wireless intellimouse explorer (the kind with the two extra buttons on the side). Well those buttons are usually used for the "forward" and "Back" buttons on a web browser (even works with safari). Anyway, i clicked one by accident in iTunes and found that they work as the "track forward" and "track backward" buttons. cool huh.

Heh, that's kinda cool. My guess is that those buttons generate a command-left-arrow and command-right-arrow keystrokes, which are the commands for going forward and back in most browser, as well as for changing tracks in iTunes.

You could test this by clicking the buttons in a text editor. Those commands should move the insertion point to the beginning and end of the current line.

of note: this only works when the drivers are installed, I don't have them in on mine, since the mouse wroks fine with out them.

I only customize for games, and the games see all the buttons.
