I just got my new PB and want to remove the Mac OS 9 System folder from the root directory of my Hard Drive.

How do I do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Simply move the folder to the Trash and empty the Trash.

If you don't don't have privileges to move the folder, you'll need to:
1) Get Info on the folder
2) Click on the "Ownership & Permissions" triangle
3) Click on the closed lock
4) Enter an admin username and password
5) Change the owner to your username

You may need to click on "Apply to enclosed items…" before you can move the folder to the Trash. But, once you do move it, simply empty the Trash.
