I have two macs; an old imac dv and a dual 867 with a CD-RW. How can i mount the cd-RW from the imac so I can burn my iphoto library from there? The machines are conncected via an airport network and can see each other fine. I cannot figure out how to get the imac to burn to the cd-rw in the dual 867?

Thanks in advance.

When you connect to the other computer it should show you any mounted volumes.

That aint gonna work.

He's asking to be able to burn to a CD-RW over the network.

Not, mount a CD-RW over the network...two very different things.

AFAIK, what you are asking is impossible.

Burning requires hardware level access to a device.

Mounting is done by the VFS layer and whatever network protocols are required (AFS, NFS, SMB, etc).
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.

Thanks Kristoff. That makes sense. Yes my terminology was wrong, I did mean "burn". I guess the best thing to do is copy my iphoto lib to the 867, and burn directly from the 867. Thanks
