I love the new "Ken Burns Effect" in iMovie 3, I was wondering if Final Cut Express can do something like this? I want to go PRO with final cut after I master iMovie.

I haven't played with FCE any; I have FCP myself.

Certainly, Final Cut in all its incarnations can import pictures. This is a lot like setting the Ken Burns Effect to have no zoom or pan. However, FCE is not likely to have a specific "Ken Burns Effect", per se; you will have to recreate the effect you want manually. This is not hard, but you'll have to do it yourself.

By the way, I wonder how Ken Burns feels about his name being used like this...
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

Jobs said that Apple showed Mr. Burns the effect and that he liked it. So, I guess he doesn't mind it that much..
