hey all.

i'm sharing a library with iPhoto 2 amongst several users. launching the app works fine--all the users can see all the pictures already in the library. however, nobody has any ability to import or edit anything.

attempting to import fails, saying "Can't create folder." trying to change pictures dates fails, too. we can change the roll titles, though, for some reason.

i'm guessing this is a permissions issue?
the library folder is in Users/Shared. how do i make it so that everyone has read/write access.

please help! we can't get pictures off our camera!

You may have a permission conflict at some level under Users/Shared. Try this:

Highlight Users/Shared in the Finder.

Control click.

Open Ownership and Permission tab.

Set group privileges to read and write (probably already is set). You will need admin privileges to do this.

Click "Apply to Enclosed Items" button. This last action will set the permission at all directory level under Users/Shared to group read and write and allow importing of photos by anyone in your group.
