imovie three has totally wrecked the movie i was making for college and it runs so poorly or a ti 550. I am so dissapointed with this product, worst thing apple has ever made in my opinion. I really want to go back to imove 2 safely so i can get my project back to how it was. I have all the disks my powerbook came with. What steps should I take?

Yeah, that's going to be a pain. I also want to "downgrade". I have the install discs, but the hard part is extracting iMovie 2 off them. And nobody is going to have a mirror of the software, since it was a paid product.

For me, it's not the speed, but the stability. iMovie 3 is much more unstable.

iMovie 2 to me felt like a semi-fine-tuned product. Not great but good enough.

iMovie 3 feels like a product with a lot potential (eg. iLife integration, chapter markers, Ken Burns), but one that is in VERY early beta. Very unstable.

I have been working with iMovie 3 since it came out and have spent several hours without any instability problems. Sorry to hear you are not experiencing the same thing.

iMovie is in the AdditionalApplications.pkg package on Jaguar CD2. You'll have to use Pacifist to extract iMovie from the package.
