Anyone else had problems with an Epson 740 and OS X 10.2.3?

I had no problems with 10.2.2 on the previous G3 laptop, but now on a new G4 TiBook, and 10.2.3, the machine will not recognise the Epson 740. All other printers are okay.

Epson doesn't allow dowload of the driver for this printer, saying "look on your OS X CD-ROM" which is not very helpful, as there is not easy way (that I know of) for installing just a printer driver, from an OS X CD-ROM for OS X 10.2.3 when the CD-ROM is 10.2.2 or earlier!

Grrr...

Anyone else had problems with this printer model? Any ideas?

on the second cd of Jaguar, there are a ton of drivers for HP, Epson, and other printers. Just install the Epson drivers and you should be good to go.

i had the same problem after the 10.2.3 update.

go to print center, then don't select usb, but select epson usb (whatever the sense in that is) and voila - printing, even network-printer sharing, all working =)
