We now have .mac Mail and .mac Address Book. Why didn't they design .mac Calendar to go along with iCal instead of the current Publish/Subscribe method?
I think this would be much more consistent and would allow us to have access to all of our crucial info right from .mac making .mac more of a 'portable mac' solution.
I realize that the primary function of the Publish/Subscribe method is to allow other people to view your calendars. That is fine, but they should also include a .mac Calendar for our own personal use.
Do you guys like the idea? Thoughts? I already sent Apple feedback about this, but if you think it is a good idea you should as well.

It would be nice if there was an iCal-like interface offered by .Mac. Perhaps, now that iSync is out the door, this is something they can work on - WebMail Address Book synching suggests that it is the next logical step for .Mac/iCal. This "Web-iCal" should allow you to view multiple calendars online and sync them with your Mac - thus giving the ability to add/alter events on a published calendar.

The publishing/subscribing can remain as it is (i.e. free and accessible by anyone)... the .Mac version would just offer more features, able to show all your iCals (by synching with iSync) and be private which seems reasonable to me.

I emailed Apple with exactly the same suggestion:. Let's hope they do it.
