Opening folder crashes the Finder

I tried to reinstall Bryce 5 (in this case) and I cannot access some folders. Everytime I try to access some folders it crashes the Finder. I reinstalled the program...same thing.... any answers out there?

probably it's time to do some HD check, either via fsck or another HD utility
