Hi all,
There's a font I'm interested in making, but I'm not about to spend a lot of money for something I'm going to use once. I'd like to know what the best free or low-cost TrueType font creator/editor is for OS X. Best scenario would be to drop a bitmap of a character onto the editor since what I'm doing is a monospaced bitmapped font anyway. Thanks.

/applications/utilities/asia text extras/truetype font editor

it used to crash in 10.1 but it hasn't in 10.2. now, if i could just figure out how it works...

I know of no cheap Mac OS X font editor, but if you don't mind installing X11 (http://www.apple.com/macosx/x11/ ) you can use PfaEdit:

Mac OS X binaries are available.
