When I put 10.2 on my mom's iBook, I asked her if she wanted to leave OS 9 on just in case she needed it for anything. She told me no, so I did a clean install and now all she has is 10.2.

She called me this morning asking how to get HyperStudio <shudder> to work in OS X, and I told her it doesn't and that it won't. So now she wants me to put OS 9 back on so she can make presentations in HyperStudio because she thinks PowerPoint is too boring.

My question is: What does Keynote have over PowerPoint? She really likes the interactivity of HyperStudio, and she'll be getting her iLife Keynote package in two weeks. Will she be satisfied with it, or should I just put OS 9 back on her 'Book?

Well I work right now with keynote for a presentation for my ba.
Keynote has one really great thing. In about 20minutes or so you will learn the whole program!!! No kidding! It's that easy. And that's the best thing cause you just want to make the damn presentation and nothing else. I don't want to spend time to learn a program that I will use once or twice a year so all is well.
The other GREAT feature that keynote has is automatic ligning of the objects. You will really appreciate it. Say you have one object and you want to line up a second object with the first object. Keynote will automatically give you a yellow line that is where you will put your object!! It's really great.
Quictime export is reaaaaaaly slow but anything else works quite fast and o.k. At least on my machine (Powerbook DVI 667MHz 512MB Ram)

I've heard that ibooks have problems running keynote so I don't know if it's a good idea installing on your mum's ibook. A heard also for a lot of crashings during the presentations.... Well I hope that this will not happen on mine....

Hope I helped you. Anything else you want to know just post it...
