ok so i have an imac that has a 60gig drive, and i want to get it so my ibook can access the drive when ever i connect it to the network, im gettin tired of 'connect to server' and authenticating and all that like 6 times a day

so i had this idea that i could get it done using netinfo, but i know nothing about it

i figure i should be able to set it up so that it shows up in that useless network icon at the root of my hardrive, and make it alot easier to access

any good sources on how to do this, or anyone done this yet?

Did you know that you can connect to servers really easily with aliases? After connecting to a file server, make an alias to the root of the volume. Disconnect from the server, and double click the alias. It will automatically reconnect you to the server.

I have a folder in my dock that is full of aliases to servers and different file systems that I connect to often. It's quite a handy feature. It would not be automatic, but the automatic might be annoying too.
